Coronation Party, 7 May 2023
π The weather was exceptionally kind to us on Sunday, for which we are all eternally grateful! We had fun and raised a lot of money to share between Wakefield Hospice and Yorkshire Air Ambulance… £1,146.38
π But of course these events take lots of planning and organising, so in time honoured tradition we would like to take the opportunity to recognise and thank a number of people, local organisations and small business’s whom helped to make the afternoon such a success!
π Firstly ‘thank you’, to everyone one of you who came along, had fun, enjoyed the entertainment, took part in our traditional games and supported this community event.
π Thanks to Parish Councillors and our army of volunteers for pulling everything together… and taking it down again!
π€Thanks to our Compère for the afternoon, W4W Chair, Mark Blount… what a wonderful job… you did us proud!
Thank you to our unstinting Marshals, Dek Butler & Andy Gardner… and supporting Parish Councillors and volunteers for ensuring the day ran smoothly.
π΅π©°Our talented local entertainers who volunteered their time, Walton Choir, Wakelele, Miss Amy and Studio A Dance Troupe.
π Thank you to Walton Community Library, Walton Guides and Brownies, and Talk Laugh Craft, craft club.
π»π₯Thank you to our volunteer bar staff… you were kept v busy and thank you Lindsey for donating much needed bottled water for a warm day.
π Our raffle raised a little over £400, thank you to: The Park Grill, Walton, Julie Chalkley of Lavender House Retreat and WH Kitchen at the Grove for generously donating raffle prizes .
π Festival Hair by Mel Tudor and her team from En route Hair and Beauty was a firm favourite… lots of plaits, buns and glitter on parade. Thanks to Mel for donating a little over £200 to our fundraiser.
We were delighted to support the small business’s who came along and sold their quality products.
