Patrols:

PC 6487 Steel (Off Road Motorbike Team)

PS 6162 Simpson

PC Steel reports,

Patrols made as part of SAFE scheme on 30/11/2020 between 07:00 X 11:00.

Initial patrols made around local schools. Due to roadworks on Doncaster Road, Crofton there is a noticeable increase in vehicles coming through the middle of Walton. As a result I was approached by a lot of concerned parents regarding this problem. It was definitely causing a few problems regarding the build up of traffic. I was parked next to the zebra crossings and there were no issues today regarding vehicles not stopping for pedestrians, however from what the parents were saying it was clearly a problem. I will speak to local NPT regarding these issues as the roadworks on Doncaster Road and due to be on going for a while.

Following this I spent some time around Walton Nature Reserve and Walton Woods. This was mainly in relation to reports in recent months of a male "flashing" in the locality. I spoke to numerous walkers, a lot of whom were aware of the issue. There were no issues today however there was a report of a half naked male in Crofton which is obviously not too far away.

During the final part of my patrols as I exited the woods I spoke with a concerned resident near to the golf club complaining about the amount of dog poo in the area. We had a long chat regarding the legal powers we had, and again I will pass this onto the local NPT for their awareness.
